In our old house we had this pathetic little excuse for a tree. B wanted to rip it out but I wouldn't let him. I think that one day it is going to be a magnificent towering structure with lots of beautiful leaves for children to seek shelter under in the hot summers of future years. BUT, until that day comes, something fun had to be done with that little twig - and my children found it. Every year they do a pet tree. The pictures here are from the 3rd Annual Pet Tree. Sometime in late spring or early summer (usually on a Sunday when there is "nothing fun to do")they will take out their favorite stuffed animals and hang them on the little splinters which fork off from the "twig trunk". It is a colorful, fluffy, happy decor that takes hours to perfect, and minutes to fully enjoy. It really is the simple things that make us the most happy!

Isn't it funny what we (I mean our kids) do to entertain ? It looks like great fun!
What great memories.
Silly you, your going to miss that tree, you shouldn't have moved!
Hopefully the new owners haven't ripped it out. What kind of tree was/is it?
Ok Heather you are doing better than the rest of us at blogging old photos and such. Keep em coming!
