Well, she did respond with "you're welcome." Obviously you've raised her to converse politely. Good job!
We neeed to work on that in our family. Generally certain daughters will enter the kitchen holding their noses and asking what smells so disgusting. A little touch of polite conversation might soften the blow.
These are the kind of polite conversations we regularly have at our house. Since repulsion was usually what I was going for, I feel very satisfied with my efforts.
