Six little monkeys jumping on the bed (three of mine - three of a friend). One fell off and hit the post of the bed with her eye. (I realize this doesn't rhyme, but these are the FACTS, baby!)
Her daddy is an Eye Doctor and HE said...
That's what you get for jumping on the bed.
Well, actually, he said much nicer things than that - but HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU HAVE TO TELL A MONKEY THAT YOU DON'T JUMP ON A BED??? Apparently one more than WE already have.
Black eyes just seem to be a part of Rhinehart childhood. Tanner got a black eye - about this same age - from the SAME thing, only he hit his on the metal part of the bed, not the wood. Madsen tipped over on a TRICYCLE on our deck in PA and blacked his eye up really good. Ella smashed into Camilla's eye with her big fat noggin when they were small - if I recall correctly it was WHEN THEY WERE JUMPING ON THE BED - Brad thinks it was when they were running and they collided in the kitchen/dining room - we we are too old to remember specifics - but the eye was black for sure!!! And Ella got swiped off the counter top by a loving sibling and whacked her eye. SO... I guess Anna is now officially accepted as a member of our family. Welcome to the black-eyed-Rhineharts, Miss Ann!

Glad to see (haha - get it - see?) she made it through the rite of passage. Never surrender Monkey Anna!
Kaden has a scar above his eye from where he got stitches...from jumping and flipping off a bed and running into a nightstand corner on the way down!
I was going to apologize for my kids' involvement till I realized they were just helping her along in a rite of passage. :) Poor little sweetie!!!
So sad!! Having an eye doctor in the family is very helpful.
