Tanner and Madsen are CELTICS!!!

Well... practically. On February 28th the Celtics played the Jazz in Salt Lake City Utah. I've said it before, and it will probably come up in conversation again, that Tanner, Madsen and Brad are HUGE fans. Last year the three guys went to the Celtics/Jazz game with some of our friends from Utah and had a great time, so we called these friends and asked if we could make it a tradition. Unfortunately, they were going out of town and wouldn't be back for the game, but AJ, the dad, had access to a set of FRONT ROW SEATS for the game - AAAANNNNNDDDD he GAVE them to Tanner and Madsen!!! They ate in the VIP room (prime rib, Black Forest ham, plus allllll the trimmings) and then sat right behind the Celtics bench. These pictures of the game are taken with their little inferior cell-phone-camera, but you can tell how close they were to their heros! To top off the night, those Celtics WON - just for us!

You would think that would be great enough, we sure did, BUT IT GETS EVEN BETTER!!! As Kevin Garnett was walking off the court after his post-game interview, Madsen (who was all decked out in his Celtics Green) leaned over the rail to High-5 Kevin and then.... and then... AND THEN... KEVIN GARNETT TOOK OFF HIS ARM BAND AND HANDED IT RIGHT TO MADSEN!!! It was still soaked with Kevin Garnett sweat! HOW AWESOME IS THAT??? We all freaked out - even the little girls knew how amazing that was!

Sigh. Real life will never be good enough again.

While they were at the game, the girls and I spent over two hours in the hotel pool. The next day the kids swam with Brad and then we went to Temple Square in Salt Lake City. It was a gorgeous day. We saw flowers and birds (neither of which were in our hometown yet - not even CLOSE!) and the sun was shining all day. We saw the new Salt Lake City Temple display which shows the inside of the Temple and tells what each room is used for. It was neat to see the inside of the Temple including the rooms that aren't used much anymore. If you go the Temple Square, make sure you go to the South Visitor's Center and check it out.

The last fun thing we did was eat lunch at Cowboy Grub. It was tasty, but we missed Kristen and Jared the WHOLE time we were there.

That was really a great trip. I think I'm ready to go again!

How amazingly cool is that?!? I don't think life could get better for a boy. So happy for them!

I sure wish we could have gone to Cowboy Grub with you! Next time just come to Wisconsin. We've got good cowboy grub here too.

"and then.... and then... AND THEN... KEVIN GARNETT TOOK OFF HIS ARM BAND AND HANDED IT RIGHT TO MADSEN!!!" I can totally hear you (or Madsen) telling this story! Such a great memory. Where was Brad though? Did he have to sit in the nosebleed section?

Ha ha, I love it! The sweat band story was awesome, you'll have to keep it and never wash it! :) Looks like such a fun trip.

Gee whiz. After six months, you'd think you'd be able to put up a new post. Bo-ring.
